Jérôme Faure awarded 4 Toques in the Gault & Millau guide for Le Champ des Lunes
After an amazing recognition for the bistro, La Cuisine d'Amélie, with 2 Toques in Gault & Millau and a 14.5/20, Jérôme Faure has received today a 17/20 (4 Toques) for Le Champ des Lunes, the gourmet restaurant of Domaine de Fontenille.
It has only been one year since Domaine de Fontenille has opened its doors in Provence. Vineyard and Small Luxury Hotel of the World, it offers 2 exceptional restaurants under Jérôme Faure's supervision.
The bistro, La Cuisine d'Amélie, has received 2 Toques in August from Gault & Millau, elevating it as one of the best Chef's bistros according to Gault & Millau.
Today, it is time for the gourmet restaurant, Le Champ des Lunes, to be recognised by famous Gault & Millau's Toques. With a 17/20, the restaurant possesses now 4 Toques, thanks to the creativity and savoir-faire of a Chef, already recognized in 2013 "Grand de Demain" (Tomorrow's Great) by Gault & Millau, surrounded by its talented team.
"What a stunt he has made this year! Jérôme Faure makes a strong impact: the bistro gets 2 Toques and the gourmet restaurant gets 4, directly on their first year of opening, it was worth moving from the Vercors region to Luberon, Provence. And a magnificent vineyard surrounding an 18th century Domain where he can let his creativity blossom. Working closely with local producers and always seeking for the best. Such daring in its Cuisine, such research in flavours association, what a mix! Like at the bistro, a habit among the guests, the excitement of discovering every new dish, served by a young and enthusiastic team. Wines from the Domain have a place of honour but also wines from the region, Luberon and Ventoux and by extension the Rhône valley." - Gault & Millau
